OBJECTIVE
My goal is to structure a legal career around
Intellectual Property, the Internet, Computer and High-Tech law, and all law related areas
within these fields. My desire is to create legal protection for the leading edge of
creativity in these areas and to advise start up High-Tech and Internet Companies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive work on and experimenting with the Internet and
Intranets since 1991.

Professors at William Mitchell College of Law in the areas of Internet research,
resources, access, and technology.
Founder and President of CLIC (Computer Legal Internet
Committee) at William Mitchell College of Law.

advisory committee at William Mitchell College of Law in my first year as student.

I am currently working self-employed in my consulting
firm, LawLink.net, specializing in all the above areas pertaining to Law and the
Internet. I also do web site design and build small networks.
I participated in the first Cyberlaw class at Harvard as a
student member.

WORK HISTORY
1998-1998 Hoge, Fenton, Jones &
Appel
Through the summer of 1998 I worked as High
Tech/Internet Intern for Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel, a general practice
law firm in San Jose, California. Besides typical law clerk duties, I was
responsible for researching legal issues related to the Internet and advising the
attorneys on those issues as they applied to clients.

This Internet Company was established to gain
knowledge and experience in providing consultation to clients in the areas of Internet
access and availability, valid legal Internet research, web site design and
implementation, Intranet design and implementation, and available technology
recommendations in similar areas.
1997-1997 Research Assistant, William Mitchell College of
Law
I worked as the first Internet Research Assistant to
William Mitchell College of Law. My duties were to track and research legal links on the
Internet, contact, establish, and arrange mutual links to and from the new William
Mitchell College of Law web site.
1995-1995 Intern, Stearns County
Attorneys Office
During my senior year at Saint Cloud State
University, I completed an Internship at the Stearns County Attorneys Office. I worked on
case preparation with the attorneys, which included basic research and writing simple
briefs. I worked with the Victims Assistance Program, providing victim support,
which included interviewing clients for information, and attending court daily.
1980-1996 Owner, WDO Productions
I started as a Musician/ Manager in the local
entertainment scene, eventually moving into the full time management of local
entertainers. I produced and co-produced a number of new bands, worked to produce and
record their original material, and was instrumental in gaining some bands contracts for
furthering their careers. I acted as producer, promoter, and technical director for live
shows, both in music and sports entertainment. I continue to rent a small amount of sound
and lighting equipment to entertainment facilities. I later became involved in web page
design.

I began working in this area of reconstruction with
my father while in school, and eventually took over the company. I worked as carpenter
trainer, estimator, sales and manager.

INTERESTS & ACTIVITIES
Educational Facilities and Technology Committee at William
Mitchell College of Law. I held a position appointed by the SBA. We were instrumental in
establishing the WMCL web site, and many of the technological advancements at the College.
North American Tae Kwon Do Federation. I hold a
first-degree black belt and teach.
U.S. Judo Association. I hold a third-degree black belt in
jujitsu, and am second sensei.
City of Otsego. Park and Recreation Commissioner,
appointed by the City Council.
CLIC, the Computer Legal Internet Committee. I established
this student organization with two goals. First, to bring together students and
faculty/staff who had technical expertise in the computer and Internet fields, and those
who were technically challenged in hopes that each could advance with the help of the
other. Second, to provide a forum in which to further technical advancement and training
as it pertains to a legal career, at William Mitchell College of Law. I am now helping
building the WMCL CLIC website, and will be assisting other student organizations in their
web development plans.

COMPUTER SKILLS
I have acquired computer skills both in the area of
software and hardware upgrades.
I am proficient with the use of the Internet as a research
tool.
I design websites of all sizes and complexities.
I have worked with Win3.1, 95, 98, and NT 4.0 Server and
Workstation.
I am currently Beta testing Microsoft Office 2000.
Extensive testing of new hardware and peripheral
equipment.
Troubleshooting analysis in both hardware and software
conflicts.
I have completed courses in Internet Programming, Java,
and Microsoft Networking Basics to gain basic overview knowledge.
